Zillow says the region’s real estate is doing well

According to a news release by Zillow.com, an online real estate information site, Spokane County is looking good when it comes to real estate values.

Home values in the Spokane area depreciated quarter-over-quarter by 2.4 percent, but appreciated year-over-year by 9.9 percent, the news release said.

All cities in the area showed an appreciation year-over-year, with Deer Park leading the pack with an appreciation rate of 13.5 percent. Veradale saw the slowest growth in home values with a rate of 1.3 percent year-over-year, the release said.

The Spokane neighborhoods with ZIP codes 99201 and 99217, along with the Liberty Park area, showed significant appreciation over 20 percent year-over year, the release said.
