Get ready to rock for six minutes or so

If you’re familiar with the term Bollywood , you know that it doesn’t necessarily translate as quality. But as with the film industry situated in Los Angeles, sometimes box-office popularity and art do mix.

My sister-in-law, Jean Treuthart , reminded me of that by sending me a link to the YouTube music video I’ve included as an embed below. It’s a song titled “Chaiyya Chaiyya” from a 1998 film titled “Dil Se,” directed by Mani Ratnam .

The whole sequence, as you can see, is shot on a train. It begs the question: Did anyone fall off during the filming of it?
