Huckleberries Gone Wireless w/Nils Rosdahl
DFO: Where do you get all those tips for your business column (that you’ve written for both the Coeur d’Alene Press and the Spokesm an-Review, combined for the last 27 years)?
NR:
I have several sources: spies, building permits. I live on the opposite end of Coeur d’Alene from NIC. I take a different route to NIC every day looking for things that are happening. And responses to my column. I also attend the Tuesday morning Tips Club, which consists of people from various businesses. They allow one person from each type of business. I’m the only journalism person. We’re suppose to bring a tip about business to each meeting. It could be a new business. A new owner. Someone going out of business. We have to pay a quarter fine, if we don’t have a tip.
