Chiefs ranked first again
It’s unanimous - the Spokane Chiefs are once again the Western Hockey League’s top-ranked team.
Receiving all 16 first-place votes this week, the Chiefs topped the WHL writer’s poll - released by the Western Major Junior Hockey Writer’s Association - for the fourth time in as many weeks. Spokane is on a six-game winning streak, which includes a 5-3 victory over U.S. Division rival and second-ranked Tri-City on Saturday.
