In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida destroyed my mothers brand new stereo! It was 1970, my parents purchased one of those huge 6 foot wide piece of furniture stereos from Macy*s. The day after it was delivered dad was at work, mom had gone to the store and a kid from across the street came by with his Iron Butterfly album. We cranked volume and Bass up to max and put the LP on the turntable. We heard the first note and then total silence! We quickly put all the settings back down and left the house.
