Otter: Idaho Govt. Must Lead Way re: Climate Change

Gov. C.L. Butch Otter said Idaho state government must set an example for the rest of the state in dealing with climate change. “We ignore reality at our own peril,” Otter said, at a climate change summit Monday at the University of Idaho. Otter touted his record in pushing state leaders to come up with plans to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. “In this way, we can lead by example,” he said. But Otter was scant on specifics when asked to describe what his own office has done to conserve energy. He said the capitol rennovation has employed energy efficient building materials “when possible” and that employees of the state building inspection office now carpool to job sites/ James Hagengruber , Spokesman-Review.

Question: Do you agree with Otter that Idaho government should be in the forefront in fighting climate change?
