44th and Regal still on hold
A south side property that was once a contender for a Walmart Supercenter is in limbo.
The land at 44th Avenue and Regal Street has been cleared of all foliage and graded, but the city says the developer hasn’t requested any additional building permits.
Local developer Harlan Douglass owns the property.
The only building on the land is an espresso stand, which preserves the rights that Douglass has under a hearing examiner’s previous ruling.
