The contenders for front page lead story were a Steve Eugster lawsuit or the latest on Larry Craig.

Attorney Steve Eugster, in Spokane, is arguing against a transportation overhaul for King, Pierce and Snohomish counties — hrm — the Puget Sound. If he wins this case, he would “disrupt the state’s largest transportation package,” said assistant city editor Dave Wasson.

State Supreme Court will hear this case on Thursday.

As for the argument for Craig being lead story, here it is, plain and simple:

“It’s just nuts ,” said Carla Savalli, senior editor for local news, bringing up the part about the senator being indecisive about his resignation and putting a wrench into the replacement process.
