In the Aug. 29 public hearing in front of hearing examiner Lisa Key, project supporter Sharon Rogers said she had worked with Las Vegas-based Kirk-Hughes Development for 14 years and “watched them grow from a small office to what they have now.” … “And here they are in a state known to be a little resentful — an Aryan state,” Rogers said. After Key gaveled down an outburst from the crowd, Rogers added “I’m sorry if I insulted anybody.”
