Planning moving along for YMCA-YWCA joint campus

Construction documents are halfway done for the facility, planned for 930 N. Monroe St. So far, the complex will include childcare, fitness, aquatic and teen centers. The facility will also have a job readiness and opportunity center, gymnasium, community gathering areas and domestic violence victims services.

Representatives of the project say the collaboration will enable the two non-profits to maximize services to the community while sharing costs.
