Sally Field is the perfect example
of a an actress without a script. It reminds me of some of our inexperienced local news people who don’t know how to ad lib when the camera is rolling. The statement and point Ms. Field was trying to make, though, was important, if misguided. “And, let’s face it, if the mothers ruled the war, there would be no (expletive) wars in the first place,” Field said. If you equate women with mothers the statement is blatantly untrue. Mother’s rule. Not always well; but none of us would be without them/
