Huckleberries Gone Wireless w/Ruth Pratt
Text of complete interview here
Don Sausser/Special for Huckleberries Online
Centenarian Ace Walden and Library Foundation Director Ruth Pratt check out the new Coeur d’Alene Library Monday, Sept. 10.
DFO:What kind of rumors were out there about the library before and even after it was built and opened, and did they amuse you?
Ruth Pratt: My favorite was the one that suggested we built the library in that location so it would be close to Sandi Bloem’s jewelry store. We found that quite amusing. We were looking for some great deals on jewelry. But that didn’t happen.
DFO: Given the favorable reaction to the new library, do you think anyone would be foolish enough to try to make it a negative city council campaign issue?
Ruth Pratt: There are always people foolish enough.
