Vandal notebook

Dave Trimmer

MOSCOW – The Idaho Vandals marched smartly downfield to score touchdowns to open their last two football games.

That didn’t happen against Northern Illinois on Saturday but after swapping three-and-outs with the Huskies the Vandals went 59 yards on their second possession, despite three penalties, to grab a 7-0 lead.

Then some weird things happened as the Huskies scored 35 straight points on their way to a 42-35 win in a non-conference football game in the Kibbie Dome Saturday afternoon.
