Lee & Hayes moving to BoA Financial Center

Parker

A large Spokane law firm specializing in intellectual property has signed a long-term lease for new offices inside Spokane’s tallest building, the Bank of America Financial Center.

Lee & Hayes PLLC will take 27,097 square feet on the 13th and 14th floors of the building, 601 W. Riverside Ave., nearly doubling increasing its space by half as it accommodates “rapid growth,” according to a news release.

Representing six of the 20 largest patent filers nationwide, it employs more than 75 in Spokane and Seattle, including 40 attorneys and patent agents specializing in IP. The company also wants to hire at least 12 more IP attorneys and support staff, the release says.

As we previously reported here , building owner Unico Properties LLC , of Seattle, plans to replace the building’s aging plaza along Riverside Avenue, and redo the structure’s northwest corner to include a café opening onto Wall Street during a $2.5 million renovation. Interior improvements include updating elevators, common areas and the lobby.
