Titans making softball move

University held on for a 5-4 win over Central Valley to open a two-game lead on the Bears and stand within half a game of Mead in the three-team race for that second automatic regional softball berth. Next Thursday the Titans host the Panthers in a game that could decide it.

Both teams still must play Shadle Park and Mead also has games against CV and second-place North Central. The Bears host NC tomorrow.
