My 2 Cents: Newspapering In A New Way

In his must-read News Is A Conversation post below, Editor Steve Smith stated that, he is among the last of a dying breed: A newspaperman. Steve and I are the same age, 58. We both cut our teeth in the early ‘70s in newsrooms with typewriters and linotype machines — and waded through the switch to computers that would seize up several times on deadline. Also, we both understand the new media. In fact, this blog puts me square in the center of the new media movement. As much as I enjoyed my four decades in print journalism, I enjoy the new media and online journalism more.
