Dirt: KMC Plans 3-Story Addition

A three-story addition to the Kootenai Medical Center in Coeur d’Alene would provide a new area to care for mothers and babies, and free up space in the existing hospital to potentially expand surgical space. A $30 million project, the Kootenai Health Women’s and Children’s Center is still in the design phase, said Don Soltman, Kootenai Health’s vice president of support services.
