HBO Book Club Q-9: ‘The Shack’ Shortcomings?

In some reviews, “The Shack” by William P. Young is likened to Paul Bunyan’s “Pilgrim’s Progress.” The Young fiction focuses on a grieving Oregonian’s return to the site of his daughter’s murder, after she is abducted from his camp site in the Northwest. You’ll recognize such geographic places as Multnomah Falls. Where an old legend harkens back to the Christian understanding of Calvary. At “The Shack,” where the daughter is murdered, Mack has a close encounter with the Godhead in three unusual personas. JeanieSpokane has provided a list of questions, which I’ll sprinkle into today’s discussion. You can get straight to this post at any time by clicking on the HBO Book Club bug on the left rail.
