Wild Card/Sunday — 8/24/08

The Coeur d’Alene Summer Theatre production of “Les Miserables” on closing night Saturday was every bit as good as advertised, with the lead roles of Jean Valjean and Jaubert performed as well as you’ll find at a summer theater level. Dunno why I waited until closing night of the last play to watch one this summer. Usually, I watch all four plays in a summer. Oh well, I have tickets to “Phantom of the Opera” this fall when the traveling Broadway show comes to Spokane. So I still getting a good quota of live theater. My wife thought she saw “Lord of the Rings” actor Sean Astin at the play tonight. But I didn’t see him. Mebbe Mike Kennedy can say if CDA’s favorite Hobbit was in the house. While we wait for his answer, I’ll play this Wild Card …
