Item: Council considers fee hikes: Businesses would have option of paying city for unprovided parking spaces /Tom Hasslinger, CDA Press
More Info: First time police fingerprinting fees will jump from $5 to $10; both fines for dog at large and having an unlicensed mutt will be $75 for the owner instead of $50; and homeowners with 32 gallon residential garbage cart service will be asked to pay $7.15 per month now, instead of $6.75. For commercial garbage pick up, 32-gallon cart service will cost around $5 plus the cart fee, 65 gallon will cost $10. The cart and for both residential and commercial if the garbage man has to get out of his truck and unlock the Dumpster will cost the owner $2.50.
Question: With the state and national economy in a major recession, is this a good time for the city to raise fees?
