KXLY: Groene/McKenzie Murder House Torn Down
KREM2 Video: talks to neighbor re: demolition
Bringing to an end a dark chapter in North Idaho history, the Idaho Transportation Department tore down the home where three people were murdered in Wolf Lodge Bay before dawn Saturday morning. ITD officials confirmed early Friday afternoon they were going to be tearing down the home where Brenda Groene and Mark McKenzie lived with three of Brenda’s children, Slade, Dylan and Shasta Groene. McKenzie and Brenda and Slade Groene were murdered inside the home in May of 2005 by convicted killer Joseph Duncan. Duncan kidnapped the two youngest children, Dylan and Shasta, and took them to a remote campsite in western Montana where he later killed Dylan/ KXLY. More here.
Question (from KXLY): Should a memorial be placed at the Wolf Lodge Bay site?
