CDA Press: County Needs Administrator
Several citizens and panel participants informally resumed the rallying cry for Kootenai County’s Board of Commissioners to do what it has refused to do since Tom Taggart held the position years ago: Re-create a high-level county administrative position — a county manager, administrator or whatever it ends up being called. It is a move that was strongly endorsed in 2005 by a community panel that examined the structure and function of county government, and one this newspaper has ardently supported. Unfortunately, the county commission has opposed any changes to its existing governmental structure. We can’t think of a better time than now for commissioners to reconsider/ CDA Press Editorial Board . More here .
Question: Should county commissioners re-create the position of county administrator or manager?
