Save the date: On Jan. 6th, county to vote on sewage plant

County Commissioners unanimously decided yesterday the vote for the much ballyhooed $142 million wastewater treatment plant will be on Jan.6 and CH2M is favored for the contract. As reported before, the county could find themselves in a contract without discharge permits, now arguing if they can’t use the river, they still would need the plant. They might consider other options like discharging treated water on former farmland . Stay tuned.
