TT: 2 To 3 Is Enuf, Not 8
I’m really interested in this one girl, but I know it would never work because she’s got her heart set on 8 kids (as well as a career in child care), whereas for me 4 would be a compromise, with 2-3 the ideal. When I think about 8, and heaven forbid this other women’s 17, I think, how can you spend quality one-on-one time with them? There are certainly benefits to large families and having people around, but there are also benefits to solitude and individual attention. Maybe the ideal for our culture is a big neighborhood full of active small families, like in Tim Russert’s book “Big Russ and Me”?/ Transplanted Texan.
Question: Do you have as many kids as your parents did?
