Residents put at risk

The Spokesman-Review

I must express my opinion regarding the Spokane County commissioners’ decision to leave roads unplowed during the Christmas holiday. I was under the impression that the No. 1 priority of the county was citizen safety above all else.

Part of my Christmas prayer was that nobody in Spokane County was injured or critically ill on Christmas Day because the fire, rescue, paramedic, ambulance and law enforcement personnel would have been hard pressed to respond in a timely manner; I further believe that anyone attempting to get anywhere on Christmas Day was significantly put at risk by this untimely decision.

Spokane County commissioners, you let the people who elected you down on this day. Shame on you.
