Lakeside distant second

Earlier this year Lakeside wrestling coach Troy Hughes said that Orting was favored to win state 1A this year. This week his Eagles finished a distant second to Orting at the Rock Island tournament on Vashon Island. Orting put nine wrestlers into the finals and the schools split head-to-head title matches, Bryan Baumgarden winning, Josh Lauderdale losing.
