Cougars fight to halftime lead

The first half was a defensive showing for the Cougars, limiting Oregon’s notorious perimeter shooting to 1-for-6 and grinding the Ducks’ offense to the end of the shot clock.

Washington State has taken over Oregon’s game, hitting 5 of its 11 attempts from beyond the arc. But the Cougars shot 40.7 percent from the floor.

Oregon shot 55.6 percent.
