Big day for Spokane area wrestlers.
GSL had five champions, Brian Owen and Anthony Rivera from University, Tyler Cochran from Central Valley and Philip Smith from Mead in 4A Clete Hanson from East Valley in 3A. Bears finished third and Titans tied for fourth.

Deer Park won its first state title in any sport in 2A and Lakeside had a near-record with 233 points. Republic won its first wrestling title as well. Stories will be in tomorrow’s S-R.
