Raivio not sure he’ll play

I was one of the first ones in the Chiles Center, but Portland’s Nik Raivio was already in the building.

Raivio, Portland’s leading scorer, has his right knee wrapped after banging knees with a teammate in practice a few days ago. He said he isn’t sure he’ll be able to play. He has to show coaches and trainers that he can run and move laterally before they’ll give him his uniform. It’s reportedly hanging in one of the assistant coach’s offices.

Raivio said he has a bruised femur. He wasn’t moving smoothly during warmups. Raivio said he isn’t pleased with the timing of the injury.

“Biggest game of the year,” he said, shaking his head.
