*Four HBOers have been selected to participate in a blog panel for this spring’s Leadership Coeur d’Alene Media Day: Councilman MikeK, Dan of the County, Dogwalk Musings (my suggestion) and myself.

*Nic Casey/Rants, Raves & Random Thoughts e-mails: “Larry Norman passed away early Sunday morning in his Salem Oregon home. Don’t know if you knew who he was or not, but he was an icon in some circles. One of my heroes. He was currently working on an album with members of The Pixies and Modest mouse.” Link here

*Jerome Pollos/CDA Press has a terrific photo for Wednesday’s Press of a man walking on the boardwalk in the fog. I can’t wait to post the shot tomorrow after the Press publishes it.

*In an e-mail, cartoonist Noah Kroese explains his absence from Huckleberries Online: “I have had other projects which required my attention and my political cartoons will be on hiatus until further notice.”

*Despite adamant denials by insiders to the contrary, that rumor that state Rep. Frank Henderson will challenged Commissioner Todd Tondee in the GOPrimary won’t go away.
