Currie Announces For Re-election

Rick Currie, chairman of the Kootenai County Board of Commissioners announced his candidacy for re-election this afternoon at the courthouse, stating: “As you know, I am not the best public speaker in the world! But just let me assure you, that has nothing to do with how well I do my job!” He then clicked off a list of accomplishments in which he’s been involved, including: increasing the foregone tax balance tenfold; paying off the administration building 5 years early; instituting townhall meetings; and maintaining an open-door policy. Also, he said: “I have refused to be manipulated by special interests or individuals with a personal agenda.”
