Day after, days ahead

It’s a strange phenomenon hurriedly putting together a game story, inserting a couple of quick quotes (including one fed to me by the S-R’s John Blanchette) and sending it in about 25 minutes after the final buzzer.

And then going back and interviewing a couple more players. Something seems out of whack with that picture, but that’s what 9 p.m. starts do to sports writers.
