• What is an edifice? Something to do with a building… Editor Steve Smith’s wife told him that “building” has only one more letter than “edifice,” so why not use “building”? It probably didn’t fit the headline character count. On a sidenote, copy editors (who write headlines) are extremely good at Scrabble. Read the story, ” Worthy plans Valley edifice ”
