Arpie:
So here’s a story you may find a little strange and I find still a bit surreal. Yesterday I went to Spokane to buy a new front door for my house as we’re moving our front door as part of our ever-ongoing addition-remodel project. I went to the Ugly Duck for the first time in my life. Finding the building in an old pea warehouse took some work. The salesman that helped me told me that he had my door, he had over thirty thousand, but we may have a hard time finding it. He went on to explain that for some weird reason the lights in the main show-storage room had gone out about a half hour ago. After showing me a few doors, we narrowed it down to a stunning mahogany door with eight small windows in the top. As he was writing up the ticket and I was writing the check, a fellow came in saying the building was on fire.
More here.
Question: Have you ever lost a home or possessions as a result of a fire?
