Richert: Risch Campaign ‘Detached, Distant’
Risch generated a good deal of publicity and
goodwill during his run as governor, and like any smart politician, he is hoping to bank on that in this year’s Senate race. Increasingly, though, this appears to be the whole of the Risch strategy. Even Risch’s ad blitz leading into the May GOP primary centered on the property tax bill. The message, delivered with little detail so far: If you liked me as governor in 2006, you’ll like me as a U.S. Senator in 2009/
