Are you a Batman fan?

My colleague Isamu Jordan tells me that “The Dark Knight” disappointed him. His problem is that the movie belongs more to the Joker , and even Harvey Dent , than it does to the Batman .

I can see his point. But I didn’t have any such expectation coming into the film that the Batman was going to own the screen. From the first time I saw a painted Heath Ledger, I fully expected that this was going to be the Joker’s film.

True, Christian Bale doesn’t help matters much by failing to emerge much from behind the mask. And as Bruce Wayne he has very little to do aside from squiring Russian ballerinas and hosting Dent fund-raisers.

Som, though, has always been a Batman guy. So his disappointment is natural. He says he likes the movie, thinks it’s well made, but he wanted more of the guy wearing the batsuit.
