Hedberg: ‘Locavore’ Concept Taking Hold

There’s a new word for people who wish to eat only the food they raise or can procure from producers within a 100-mile radius of their homes: “locavore.” You were thinking, maybe, “appetite-challenged?” This trend of eating locally really seems to be catching on - especially since people are discovering that the term “organic” has various definitions and even “natural” isn’t all it’s cracked up to be.
