Poll: LaRocco Trails Risch By Only 10%

A new poll out today commissioned by Democratic blogger Markos Moulitsas’ Daily Kos shows Republican Jim Risch with a 10-point lead over Democrat Larry LaRocco in the Idaho Senate race, with independent Rex Rammell trailing at 5 percent. Moulitsas writes that he commissioned the poll “on a whim” after meeting LaRocco. The poll of 500 likely Idaho voters, conducted July 28-30, has a margin of error of 4.5 percent. “It was independent, it was a surprise to us,” said Dean Ferguson, spokesman for the LaRocco campaign/ Betsy Russell , Eye On Boise.
