WND Poll: Obama Leaves Controversial Church
Item: Obama finally leaves controversial church: After defending, denouncing controversial sermons, ‘deeply disappointed’ candidate departs /WorldNetDaily
Question: What’s your response to Obama resigning his membership in his church?
1. It’s a tragedy — he caved to the white establishment’s criticism of the black church
2. The media and the right wing so politicized his church he had no choice
3. It was noble to resign so the church could continue its ministry without being under constant media scrutiny and criticism
4. It was a difficult decision to make. I was impressed with how he handled it
5. Trinity Church was never going to change — Obama couldn’t afford to get sandbagged again by someone’s nutty sermon. He made the right decision
6. Looks to me like he cut a deal with some superdelagates to sever his ties with the church in exchange for their support
7. If he can turn his back on his spiritual family and the men who mentored him in his faith that easily, he doesn’t have the strength of character to lead this country
8. He still refused to condemn the hateful content of Trinity Church’s preaching and the congregation for lapping it up
9. If it took him 20 years to get out of that church why should we believe he’ll get the U.S. out of Iraq in 4 years?
10. What took him so long?
