Update: Sims-Macy Campaign Finance Problems

Kathy Sims, the former Repub senator who is in hot water re: questionable campaign finance reports, now sez she acted on her own in circulating a Concerned Taxpayers mailing just prior to the 2007 Coeur d’Alene city elections. Sidekick Tom Macy had nothing to do with the mailing or financing, although his name appears on campaign reports. All this, according to City Attorney Mike Gridley (pictured).
