WCC notes

It sounds as if the WCC presidents vote on Saturday is essentially a formality (see previous post), which isn’t really a surprise. The WCC Tournament appears headed to Las Vegas , beginning in 2009, according to a Nevada newspaper.

An announcement is expected Sunday.

Santa Clara coach Kerry Keating is optimistic Brody Angley, who suffered a concussion in Monday’s loss to Gonzaga, will be able to play in the WCC Tournament.

A CT-scan was negative, Keating said. “They want him to wait two days to let his head clear. He did seem to retain some of the events from weekend, but he doesn’t remember getting hit.”
