Morning sweep

Tons of reading material out there, but we’ll start with some items that I wasn’t able to fit into the article in Monday’s S-R.

Gonzaga played 13 games against 10 teams that qualified for the NCAAs. The Bulldogs were 7-6 in those games, including 2-1 vs. San Diego and 1-1 vs. Saint Mary’s. Other GU wins: Western Kentucky, Connecticut, Saint Joseph’s and the tireless Georgia Bulldogs.

Those 10 teams were a combined 243-85.

Davidson played at the RBC Center in Raleigh, site of Friday’s game, when it lost 66-65 to N.C. State on Dec. 21st. That was the Wildcats’ last loss prior to their nation’s best 22-game winning streak. Stephen Curry had 29 points (seven 3-pointers) as Davidson lost in front of 14,024 on N.C. State’s home court.
