Here’s one brilliant trailer

I hate movie trailers. Not all of them, mind you, just those that give away too much of the film without capturing the essence of the story. The “Atonement” trailer is a perfect example: It tried to make Ian McEwan’s novel look like just another soapy melodrama.

Switching genres 180 degrees, we have the trailer for the forthcoming summer-season blockbuster “Iron Man.” And I have to say it: I love this trailer.

Not only does the Jon Favreau-directed film give us Robert Downey Jr . in the lead role, but Downey’s comic timing – always good – looks to be spot on here. I can’t wait, can’t wait for May 2.
