Verlin named Idaho coach
The University of Idaho has hired longtime Utah State associate head coach Don Verlin as its men’s basketball coach, Idaho athletic director Rob Spear confirmed moments ago.
A press conference will be held Monday to introduce Verlin, 42.
Spear said he conducted four interviews in the past two days. Others interviewed were former Fresno State coach and current Idaho Stampede assistant Ray Lopes and former San Diego coach Brad Holland. Spear declined to identify the fourth candidate.
