One week ago, our region — in fact, our entire state — lost one of its greatest treasures. Louise Shadduck died after enriching countless Idahoans for 92 years. This week, we’ll be saying goodbye to another familiar face. On Thursday, Bob Paulos and his wife, Virginia, will be relocating to an assisted living facility in Stillwater, Okla., hometown of their daughter and granddaughter for the past 40 years. … While not the political firebrand that former Press journalist Shadduck was, Paulos distinguished himself as an editor and publisher with the Hagadone Corp. for half a century. When he retired 18 years ago, Paulos was vice president of the newspaper group, which included operations from the Midwest to Hawaii/ Coeur d’Alene Press . More here
