As of 10 a.m. (Thursday), gay marriage is legal in my native land! My heart rate jumped a few notches while I sat reading the story. How proud I felt in those quiet moments in my office. How good it felt to know that a court full of appointees chosen mainly by Republican governors understood that denying any man or woman the freedom to marry their life’s love was downright unfair.
