20 must-see films down, 80 to go

My friend and colleague Ryan Pitts just added a link to the list that sits to the right, under the “Collections of posts” subhead. It’s titled “100 Films to See Before You Die.”

Now, I admit that sounds a bit pretentious. But, hey, it’s catchy. And it’s going to make me work harder just to live up to that promise.

I already have 20 films, filed under offbeat thematic descriptors such as “Just When You Thought You’d Seen Everything” and “Movies That Play With Your Mind.” I haven’t come up with a third list yet, but I’ll working on it this week.

Suggestions for a theme are welcomed.
