DFO: How should we solve our current financial crisis?
Jim Risch: I spent an hour talking to Mike Crapo and others about this today. I’m like everyone. I’m waiting to see what is put out over the weekend by the administration and by the leadership. The thing that impressed me most was to actually see the administration and leadership from both parties locking themselves in a room and saying we’re going to do something about this. I wonder why they don’t do this on national security issues. If you look at what has happened, this is a problem with lack of capital in the markets and result of the system not having as much oversight as it should have.
