“I want to be an inspiration to other women who have lost limbs,” said Suzanne Cole at her home in Twin Lakes on Monday, September 22, 2008. She lost part of her left leg in a motorcycle accident in 2007. A benefit ride and spaghetti feed will be held at Bucks Roadhouse at Hauser Lake today. All proceeds will go to help pay for her prosthetic leg.

More Info: “People approach me differently now, especially children,” says Cole. “But I’m not about to fall prey to self-pity. My heart, my love is for people who have gone through what I have gone through.” Future plans include establishing a nonprofit organization with the goal of working with local police departments to educate people about the importance of wearing a helmet and consoling others who have lost their limbs.
