Update: Haga-Mansion Lights Up Lake

Huckleberries hears … that Lake Coeur d’Alene residents are hopping mad this morning after enduring the outdoor lights of Duane Hagadone’s 30,000sf mega-mansion on Casco Bay. Terri Porcarelli, of West Lakeshore Drive told Huckleberries this morning that the new Hagadone mansion needs “serious lampshades.” She said she arrived home after yoga class around 8 o’clock last night to find the local multi-millionaire’s five floodlights reflecting brightly off the water into her home. The lights were still up at 6 o’clock today when she awoke. Terri said she fielded a number of calls from neighbors and speculated that the lights also disturbed lakeshore residents at Arrow and Stevens points. “Those lights were glaring, glaring … right into my house.” Terri called the courthouse to see if something can be done about the lights and left a message with Duane Hagadone’s son, Brad, to return a call. She said she and neighbors are prepared to go to battle to prevent a repeat performance.

Question: Should Kootenai County impose a light restriction to protect Hagadone’s lake neighbors from the glare of his ginormous, 30,000sf mansion on Casco Bay?
